Nah karena motor ini memang memiliki habitat dilintasan balap, maka tidak heran bila Honda merancangnya dengan tubuh yang ringan tapi memiliki tenaga yang cukup besar.

Di dapur pacunya terselip sebuah mesin liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder, DOHC yang memiliki kapasitas 249 cc.

"Konsep NSF250R menggambarkan kepentingan kami untuk melangkah ke depan, untuk menciptakan standar baru di dunia balap. Karakter utama motor ini adalah tubuh yang ringan dan mesin yang kompak dengan tenaga besar dan efisiensi yang tinggi yang bisa digunakan dijalan atau di balapan," ungkap NSF250R Development Project Leader Yoshiyuki Kurayoshi dkutip DetikOto dari autoevolution, Senin (6/6/2011).

"Ini adalah motor yang kompak dengan berat hanya 84 kilo dan memiliki tenaga maksimum hingga 35,5 kW, 13.000 rpm dan kapasitas bensin sampai 11 liter," tambahnya.

Di Spanyol, motor ini kabarnya akan dilepas dengan harga sekitar 23.600 euro atau sekitar Rp 291 jutaan.

"Ya kita ada rencana memasarkan 6 motor baru dan 1 motor facelift tahun depan," ujar sumber detikOto di PT Astra Honda Motor yang enggan disebutkan namanya, Senin (6/12/2010), seperti dikutip detikcom.

Menurut sang sumber, dari 6 motor baru yang direncanakan dua diantaranya sudah pasti yakni CBR 250 dan CBR 150. Terlebih keduanya sudah diluncurkan di pasar roda dua Thailand. Dan tinggal menunggu 2011 untuk hadir di pasar roda dua tanah air.

Namun sayang pihak Honda belum ingin membuka selubung 4 motor baru yang dimaksud. Hanya saja Honda memberikan keterangan 1 diantara 4 motor baru adalah motor skutik.

"Ada motor skutik. Kita juga belum bisa memastikan masuk atau tidak. Namun untuk sementara rencana kita tetap memasarkan 6 motor baru termasuk CBR 250 dan CBR 150. Itu sifatnya tentative. Bisa saja dalam waktu beberapa saat berubah dan tidak jadi," tandasnya.

Honda di tahun 2010 ini cukup agresif dengan memasarkan beberapa motor baru seperti Scoopy, PCX dan Revo matik di 2010, dan penyegaran beberapa merek lama seperti Tiger, Vario, Supra dan Revo.

Untuk CBR 250 sudah dipastikan bakal hadir di RI pada awal 2011. DetikOto sempat menguji performanya di Thailand. Masalah harga Honda CBR 250 belum jelas. Honda menargetkan harga CBR lebih dari Rp 40 juta namun kurang dari Rp 50 juta on the road Jakarta.
