Suzuki Smash Modifikasi ala Transformer | Bakal Jadi Trend 2010 ?

Keren. Itulah kata yang pas buat Suzuki Smash modifikasi punya Yongki Kristanto ini. Tongkrongannya sudah dirombak total, hingga bak robot Transformers. Modifikasi gaya seperti itu dipreksi bakal menjadi trend tahun 2010.

Modifikasi digarap Agung Ismanto dari rumah modifikasi Endok Ceplok Modified (ECM) Muntilan.

Ubahan paling mencolok tampak pada penerapan rumah lampu Yamaha X1-R dari Thailand. Supaya mirip robot Transformers, bagian depan tebeng berikut rumah lampu diberi sentuhan custom. Terutama di atas batok lampu, sayap kanan-kiri hingga cover bawah terlihat melindungi separuh mesin. Selain itu, terdapat pada bentuk jok, cover samping hingga buritan plus sepatbor sengaja dibikin beda.

Menurut Agung, memakaikan cover bodi X1-R di Smash lumayan rumit. Soalnya, ada beberapa komponen yang mesti dipangkas, ditambah, dan dipindah. Selain itu, ia harus mengatur ulang dudukan baut pegangan cover, dari depan hingga belakang.

Trus, sokbreker standar model ganda diubah menjadi monoshock. Penggantian ini membuat lengan ayun standar diubah menjadi produk handmade dari aftermarket. Agung pun tidak sembarangan mengerjakan bagian itu, termasuk juga bagian lain, lantaran barang yang dipakai mahal dan diberi sedikit sentuhan custom.

Khusus knalpot, Agung menjamin bagian ini bagus lantaran suaranya sedikit lebih ngebas dan mampu mendongkrak tenaga. Selain enak didengar, menurut Agung, knalpot itu pas untuk ubahan seperti ini. Ia memprediksi, konsep racing look dipadu warna mencolok bakal jadi tren. (sumber: kompas.com)
